a life dedicated to the flute and the recorder
I am a flautist based in London, United Kingdom.
An alumna of the Royal College of Music, I have graduated their BMus (Hons) degree with first class in 2016 and their MMus degree with a distinction in 2018. There I studied Historical Flutes with Rachel Brown and Lisa Beznosiuk and participated in the RCM Baroque Ensemble, where I played in multiple concerts and had the honor of being a soloist in their performance of J. S. Bach's Brandenburg Concerto no. 5 in 2016. I also had the opportunity to develop as a Recorder player, learning with Ashley Solomon and María Martínez Ayerza. I was a scholar at this institution, where i had a Kyra and Douglas Downie Award, a Kirby Laing Award, a Barry Shaw Award and St, Marylebone Educational Foundation Scholarship.
In the past few years I have also learnt from Olavo Barros, Wilbert Hazelzet, Pedro Sousa Silva, Claudio Astronio, Adrien Butterfield, Jane Chapman and Carla Rees, amongst other prominent musicians of the Flute and Historical Performance scene.
My repertoire ranges from the late seventeenth to the late nineteenth century and I am especially interested in the music making in the home of the eighteenth century France.
I was very happy to take part in the Handel House Talent Scheme 2018-2019 at the Handel and Hendrix Museum in London.
Past highlights from my career include playing with the London Handel Orchestra, The Brook Street Band, Casa da Música Baroque Orchestra and Charivari Agréable.
